This application facilitates the timely and accurate production of nuclear facility survey reports by the International Nuclear Insurance Pools' engineers and technical specialists.

SeRA was first introduced in 2016 by the Nuclear Insurance Association of Canada (NIAC). It provides user-friendly survey data input and management functions, aligned with the Pools' International Guidelines for Nuclear Facility Surveys, in the principal areas of Nuclear Safety Culture, Nuclear Safety - Operations - Third Party Liability, Fire Protection and Machinery Breakdown Prevention.

The application uses an 'observation' as the basic building block, mapping it to a given guideline, and linking it where applicable to one or more 'recommendations'. From these observations and recommendations entered in the database, SeRA automatically generates a survey report for a given facility, aligned to the Pools' reporting template, to meet the needs of the insurers and the insured.
